About the Director

Saeed Rostai, born in 1989, is an Iranian film director and screenwriter. He graduated from the University of Sur with a BA in Film and Television in Directing. Life + 1 Day is his first major film work. At the Fajr International Film Festival, Rosettai won the Crystal Simorgh Awards for Best Direction and Best Screenplay. It won the 2016 Reflet d'Or Award for Best Feature Film at the Geneva International Film Festival Tous Ecrans. His works focus primarily on issues of social injustice, as well as his depiction of women in Iranian society.
